Jacques Mauger（ジャック・モージェ） はニースフィルハーモニー管弦楽団のソリスト、パリオペラ国立劇場管弦楽団のソリストを経験した後、1996年以降は国際的なコンサート奏者としてのキャリアの最先端を進み、真のトロンボーンソリストとしてトロンボーンの更なる普及、発展に力を入れている。 トロンボーンのレパートリーを拡大するだけでなく、ヨーロッパ、アジア、南北アメリカ、オーストラリアなどの国々へフランス音楽を送り出す多くの音楽活動に参加しており、これまで数多くの音楽作品が様々なオーケストラ編成にて彼に捧げられてきた。 指導を行なうことも彼のキャリアにおいて重要な役割を果たしている。 1994年から2004年までパリのコンセルヴァトワール・ア・ラヨンヌメント・レジジオおよびローマのアカデミア・サンタ・セシリアの教授を務め、その後は東京の洗足学園大学の客員教授、スイスのヌーシャテルのジュネーブにあるHEMの教授を務めた。2012年9月からはローザンヌ高等音楽院フリブール校の教授として後進の指導にあたっている。 Jacques Maugerは音楽解釈のコースも実施しており、ヨーロッパ、米国、南アメリカ、さらには中国、日本、韓国、オーストラリアなどの向上心の高い多くの学生を指導している。 2008年、Jacques MaugerはAntoine Courtois Paris France（アントワンヌ・クルトワ社）の楽器開発に携わり、新しいトロンボーンモデルAC440の開発に貢献した。 また、彼は友人のJean-Michel Defaye（ピアニスト、作曲・編曲者）と共に、アルフォンス・ルデュック社（パリの老舗出版社）と協働している。 2012年以降はフランスのトロンボーン奏者協会の会長を務めている。
