呉信一は、日本でもっとも成功し慕われるトロンボーン奏者のひとりである。オーケストラやアンサンブルの活動のみならず、日本のトロンボーン奏者の育成にも数十年にわたり力を注ぎ、その薫陶を受けた多くの奏者が世界中でオーケストラのポジションを獲得するなどの成功を収めている。大阪音楽大学を卒業後、1975年西ドイツ・デットモルト国立音楽大学に留学。大阪フィルハーモニー交響楽団首席トロンボーン奏者として、20 年間にわたる演奏活動を行い、現在、東京音楽大学 客員教授、京都市立芸術大学 名誉教授、相愛大学 客員教授、大阪音楽大学 客員教授。 サイトウ・キネン・オーケストラ、ジャパンブラス・コレクション、いずみシンフォニエッタ大阪のメンバー。ハイブリッド・トロンボーン四重奏団主宰。関西トロンボーン協会会長。 大阪文化祭奨励賞、本賞および京都市文化功労者 受賞。

Shinichi Go is one of the most influential and successful trombonists in Japan. He dedicated himself not only to orchestral / chamber music performance, but also the education of trombonists which have included a lot of successful players who have taken orchestral positions worldwide over the last two decades. He is a graduate of Osaka College of Music and also studied at Hochschule fur Musik Detmold (Germany) from 1975. He was the Principal Trombonist for the Osaka Philharmonic Orchestra for over twenty years. Currently, he is a Professor Emeritus at Kyoto City University of Arts and Visiting Professor at the Tokyo College of Music, Soai College and Osaka College of Music. As a member of Saito Kinen Orchestra, Japan Brass Collection, Izumi Sinfonietta Osaka and the leader of Hybrid Trombone Quartet, his variety of activities extends to creating new opportunities for aspiring performers. He is the President of Kansai Trombone Association and is a recipient of the Osaka Cultural Festival Award and the Kyoto City Cultural Achievement Award.
